About Rate My Set

 THE SCRIPT

Rate My Set was designed with one goal in mind…

To provide a safe space for members within the entertainment industry to rate and review their experiences on set. Period. Choosing the best set to work on and sharing your experience will become a key way for members to navigate regardless of how established or new you are to the industry.

Rate My Set (www.ratemyset.com) provides user generated feedback for on set experiences. Set ratings should only be posted by users who have worked on that particular set. For each set, users are limited to posting one (1) rating. For a set to be eligible on Rate My Set, it must be of general public interest and should be available to the public or has been available in the past. 

Examples of eligible projects include:

  • Released in cinemas
  • Shown on TV
  • Released on video or the web or prints have been made available to the public
  • Listed on other established websites like IMDB 
  • Accepted and shown at film festivals
  • Made famous for some reason and is widely talked about
  • Referenced in the media or the ‘film community’
  • Is now of general historic interest for some reason

THE GUIDELINES

  • Our mission is to provide a safe forum to share and rate on set experiences that help industry professionals make critical choices in the workplace. 
  • Be honest in your ratings. Our mission is to provide a trusted place for this wonderful community to research and review when evaluating future set options. We ask that you please contribute with this in mind.
  • Ratings should focus specifically on your set experience. 
  • Please remember to share your individual experience and what you took away from set. Encourage others to submit their own ratings vs rating on behalf of another
  • Take a minute and decide if your rating will genuinely help other cast and crew members understand your set experience.

THE PROHIBITED STUFF

  • This is an anonymous website where industry professionals can rate and share their on set experience. We are unable to provide any data or personal information about the submitter of a rating.
  • Rate My Set is NOT the place to report dangerous, illegal or illicit behaviors. If you believe that you or another cast or crew member are in danger, we strongly advise you to report such incidents directly to on set authorities, your Guild, Union, Organization or local law enforcement. 
  • Rate My Set is unable to prove or disprove details mentioned in a rating.

BIAS AND DISCRIMINATION

Rate My Set does not condone bias of any kind. Your set, guild, union, and/or association(s) are best equipped and able to address issues of discrimination and bias within their organizations. If you’ve been the victim of, or have witnessed, bias based on race, gender, sexual orientation or other on set then please reach out to your specific Union, Guild, and/or Organization
