Frequently Asked Questions
A ‘set’ is referred to in the entertainment industry as a location for filming. Whether that’s a feature film, tv show, or commercial, it is considered to be the central place where cast and crew members come together to work on something special.
For a set to be eligible on Rate My Set, it must be of general public interest and should be available to the public or available in the past.
We accept most kinds of films/TV shows, including big screen and direct-to-DVD features, web series, documentaries, experimental films, short films and commercials.
General public interest is assumed if a project has been:
- Released in cinemas
- Shown on TV
- Released on video
- Released on the web
- Listed on other established websites like IMDB
- Accepted and shown at film festivals
- Made famous for some reason or is widely talked about
- Referenced in the media
- Is of general historic interest
Before you add a set, please check to see if they have already been added to the site by searching for the set’s name in the search bar at the top of the screen. If you do not see your set listed, you can add a new set here.
Please note: All newly added sets must be verified before they can be rated by our community. Please be patient and check back soon!
It’s simple: anyone who works or has worked on a set (whether that’s on a tv show, film, commercial, etc.) can submit a rating with Rate My Set.
This can include folks such as: cast members, extras, sound operators, security, the director, costumes and wardrobe, crafty, assistant directors, transportation, hair, makeup, PA’s, catering, photography and that’s just to name a few…
Nope! We don’t display any of your personal information anywhere on this site. Whether you choose to register an account or not, all ratings submitted will remain anonymous.
If you have not worked on a set please refrain from submitting a rating so that our community can base their decisions on real reviews from those who have actually worked on that particular set.
If you’ve never worked on a set before, then please take this opportunity to review prior sets and studios to make the best choice for you.
